SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. connect external display via HDMI
2. power off external display (not disconnect, poweroff)

OBSERVED RESULT
In system settings - displays, the powered off external display is still shown.

EXPECTED RESULT
The powered off external display is disabled.

For me, this also happens on X11. I am using intel iGPU with NVIDIA dGPU, and the hdmi port should be driven by the nvidia GPU.

This is just how HDMI works, there's nothing we can do about it
