Could you share a screenshot if you go to configure clipboard - general? In particular, do you have Keep selection and clipboard the same selected?

FWIW can't reproduce on git master, wayland, arch linux.

yes i do. And you're right: untick it (Keep selection and clipboard the same selected) give me the possibility to really clear my clipboard history (100% empty) !!!!!

But how can it be? either i lose a really important clipboard feature or i keep on entry which can be an password security issue (i use keepassxc/kwallet ....) !!

Please provide your complete settings so we could investigate further. I still can't reproduce when Keep selection and clipboard the same is selected. If nothing is selected, clearing history correctly clears everything.

if that can help you (clipboard log) :
```
file:///usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.clipboard/contents/ui/Menu.qml:100:13: QML Binding: Binding loop detected for property "when"
file:///usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.clipboard/contents/ui/ClipboardPage.qml:79:26: QML PlasmoidHeading: Binding loop detected for property "leftInset"
do you think that zsh (shell interactive) + some modules (copypath + copyfile) can disrupt the behavior of the clipboard?
i have not  installed homyzsh
Shell: bash 5.2.26
           zsh 5.9
the issue occurs again!!!
here is what I have in my log:
```
from disable-paste:
 Oh, oh, it's an error! possibly I die!
*** err
/dev/tty1: Permission denied
```
That seems like something else.
Not sure there's anything actionable here if no one can reproduce it, sorry.
