SUMMARY When switching from a page that is loading, the loading gear icon stays on screen for that page, covering it until the System Monitor is closed again. The loaded page is visible as a small sliver at the top of the view. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Monitor 2. Switch away from pages, e.g. Applications or Processes, while they are loading OBSERVED RESULT The gear will appear, covering the entire page except for a small sliver on the top. I attach a screencast (fast.webm) showing the problem. Another screencast (slow.webm) shows the expected behavior when clicking slow enough. Bug 428971 might be related or a duplicate. It seems this may have been fixed with https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-systemmonitor/-/commit/2584f65a33c74ea4b3479af82143797ecefff04f , at least I can no longer reproduce this but the problem does appear again when reverting that commit.
