Description Øyvind Rasmussen 2024-03-26 20:45:39 UTC
SUMMARY

When I started KRDC the "Connect to" protocol dropdown (VNC/RDP etc) was blank. And I get an error when trying to connect to servers.

Journalctl state:
krdc[5309]: kf.coreaddons: "Could not load plugin from /usr/lib/qt/plugins/krdc/libkrdc_rdpplugin.so: Cannot load library /usr/lib/qt/plugins/krdc/libkrdc_rdpplugin.so: (libfreerdp-client2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)"

This is using FreeRDP 3.4.0

Downgrade FreeRDP to 2.11.4 solved the issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install KRDC 24.02.1 and FreeRDP 3.4.0
2. Start KRDC
3. Error

OBSERVED RESULT
KRDC did not display any options in the drop down menu for protocol, and when trying to connect to a server it errored out with "The entered address cannot be handled."

EXPECTED RESULT
I would expect to see the RDP and VNC protocols in the drop down menu, and to be able to connect to them using RDP.
