SUMMARY

It is possible to press "Delete contact" button to (obviously) delete a contact. 

I would expect press 'Del' key on the keyboard should have the same effect by default. There is no option in keyboard shortcuts to map this action either. Similarly I would expect Edit -> Delete or a similar menu item to provide for deleting a contact.
