Description Alan Ezust 2024-03-24 13:06:30 UTC
I have one browser for fun, and a different one for work. I use them in different activities.
It would be nice if the default browser to use for links could depend on which activity I am in.

Hi. I suspect there might not be any immediate option to look at this due to the current question mark over the future of Plasma Activities (see: https://pointieststick.com/2024/02/06/whats-going-on-with-activities-in-plasma-6/). However I'll leave this feature request here as 'reported' as it makes sense to me as a useful addition. Once the a decision is made as to whether to develop Activites further then perhaps this one might get looked at in more details.

This is a wrapper for Firefox that is packaged in a few distros already (and easy to install yourself too):
https://gitlab.com/hook/activity-aware-firefox

I hope this feature gets implemented in Plasma proper, but until then, it is a work-around that worked well enough for me for a few years already.
