Description Andrea Ippolito 2024-03-22 09:08:05 UTC
I work a lot with JSON files, and I've bound the External Tool to JSON Format Full File to a keyboard shortcut.

I'd like to achieve the following: I paste some JSON (one liner) in Kate, then trigger the shortcut and I'd like to see the JSON file pretty printed + syntax highlighted.

The first part is working thanks to the External Tool, but the second one, I have to do manually (plus, can't be bound to a keyboard shortcut, if I understood correctly).

Could this capability be added? I'm not asking for a full macro recorder/player (although that would be even better!), but maybe some Kate command to be added before or after an External Tool has run, would be good enough already.

Thanks!
