SUMMARY
Error message "a connection with this UUID already exists" occurs when connecting to a wifi network.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. click on the icon in the system tray
2. select a wifi network
3. type password, then click on connect

OBSERVED RESULT
A popup window appears immediately with the error message "a connection with this UUID already exists"

EXPECTED RESULT
connecting to a network

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:  Debian 12.5 (Linux 6.1.0)
KDE Plasma Version:  5.27.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Checking with "nmcli connection show" command shows an existing entry with following UUID: "ffffffff-ffff-4fff-bfff-ffffffffffff". This bug seems to be related to an AMD microcode bug (RDRAND).

Thanks for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to get to it yet. Can I ask you to see if the issue is still happening in Plasma 6.4 or later, or I guess with more up-to-date AMD microcode?

I tried the latest KDE neon version  and the problem still occurs (KDE Plasma version 6.4.2, Frameworks version 6.15.0, QT version 6.11.0-29)

The error is coming from Network Manager, which assigns a UUID to each connection.
Can you please run the following and paste the output in a reply? Let us know which entry you're trying to connect to.
