Created attachment 167451 [details] Breeze with 2 examples of no padding SUMMARY After updating to KDE Neon 6.0 a large number of settings were changed. I reverted/fixed most of them but for some reason the padding for the controls inside a large number of windows (e.g. file properties in dolphin, edit application from the application launcher, etc) has completely broken. A lot of the controls are smashed up against each other/the edge of the window. This only happens when the Application Style is set to Breeze in the Global Theme in System Settings. Changing the Application Style to any of the other options has (mostly) appropriate padding — although it's still not what it used to be before the update (vertical padding is a bit off). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Change the Application Style in System Settings to Breeze. 2. Right click on an application in the application launcher to bring up a properties window (any settings window will do). 3. Observe there is no padding for controls. OBSERVED RESULT Padding is missing from controls in properties menus while using the Breeze Application Style. EXPECTED RESULT Breeze Application Style should have bigger/existing padding to controls in properties menus. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2
Created attachment 167452 [details] A different Application Style with better padding An example of the padding being present (albeit still smaller than before the update).
Same on Arch Linux, Plasma 6.0.2.
Created attachment 168157 [details] Bad padding on the edges of System Settings > Display & Monitor > Gamma Thought I'd mention that this is not only properties dialogs. Here's an example of it happening in the system settings under Display & Monitor > Gamma. Most other sections of the System Settings look fine though.
Same here. Also the content of some tabs in Kate app does not have proper padding (Debug tab "settings", Search tab advanced options ) Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.3 Kernel Version: 6.8.2-arch2-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz Memory: 11,7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: GeForce GT 440/PCIe/SSE2 Manufacturer: MSI Product Name: MS-7673 System Version: 1.0
This is fixed with KDE Frameworks 6.8.0 (released last week) https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/kio/-/merge_requests/1644
