SUMMARY

Hello!
I am reporting a new bug that I've been experiencing since updating to Plasma 6. It's a bug that is related to dolphin and Chromium, but I suspect the problem does not come from dolphin as I can't reproduce with another browser (works fine with librewolf). Here is what happens:

- I open an image on my web browser (chromium, Brave to be more specific)
- I try to drag and drop it in dolphin
- nothing happens

Now the reason why I suspect this isn't dolphin-related is that it works fine with librewolf. Also, ever since I updated to Plasma 6, my Chromium browser no longer uses my selected windows style but uses another one (all of my apps have the Aritim-Dark, and it was the case for my chromium browser too in Plasma 5, but ever since Plasma 6 it no longer works).

Could it be that my chromium browser is not flagged correctly as an app and therefore doesn't behave correctly with the theme and KDE behavior?

1. Does it work if you drag over dolphin, hold for a moment, and then drop?
2. Does it work in Firefox, either with a normal drag-and-drop, or else a drag-then-hold, then drop as indicated above?

I've gotten help from somewhere else and in the end it wasn't a KDE problem but a Wayland one (witching back to Xorg fixed it for me).

I can try to drag, hold and drop tomorrow if you still need the data, otherwise feel free to change the status.

Well, we want this to work on Wayland. :) Switching back to X11 is a workaround for you, not a general code fix for everyone who might be affected. So I would be grateful if you could try again on Wayland. Basically I'd like to know if it's a Chromium issue or KWin issue.
