This a enhancement request: is it feasible to add Name and Location (if applicable) of picture of the day to the Wallpaper ?

This shouldn't be difficult. The information is displayed in the Setting panel, it could be added to the desktop somehow.

Luis Bocanegra suggested it could be implemented like the KDE preview banner (warning) which is interactive (has menu).
I'm attaching screenshots of this banner sent by Luis.

That would be a great idea in my opinion, I'd love to see this get rolled out.
