SUMMARY
This was tested both with HDR on and off on nvidia driver 550. I'll provide any extra info as necessary

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Steam
2. add gamescope -- %command% to a game
3. start the game

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 2
1. Install aur steam-hdr
2. start steam-hdr (runtime)

OBSERVED RESULT

Gamescope is able to deliver a very few frames but freezes almost instantly after game starts.

Gamescope is able to deliver a very few frames but freezes almost instantly after steam big picture starts.

EXPECTED RESULT
not freeze even if other features don't work at first like HDR.

Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.7.9-arch1-1 / 6.0.2

nvidia driver version: nvidia-dkms 550.54.14-5

Screen setup:
LG C9 at 4k 120Hz and VRR (HDMI 2.1) (this is the only active screen at test time as VRR don't work while other screens are enabled)
LG d2343 FHD 60Hz (passive DP > DVI)
LG WFHD 29WL500 (active DP > HDMI)
