backtrace for all threads

SUMMARY

Hi there,

since upgrading to KDE / Plasma 6 kscreenlocker_greet sporadically locks up right after activating the lock screen: The mouse pointer disappears, the clock does not advance and the process can only be killed with SIGKILL.

I am using a ThinkPad P1 Gen 5 (w/ Intel GPU) with an external display attached via a Dock and DisplayPort. The session is based on Wayland.

I hope the attached backtrace is somewhat useful. If not, please let me know and I'll try to get a better one.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Lock the screen
2. Play the deadlock lottery
3. If you're lucky, the lockscreen freezes

OBSERVED RESULT

The lock screen freezes. The session can not be unlocked.

EXPECTED RESULT

The lock screen does not freeze. The session can be unlocked.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

backtrace for all threads with complete debug symbols

The lockup just happened again and I have been able to capture a backtrace with complete debug symbols courtesy of debuginfod.

This seems to happen if you move the mouse to cancel the lock when it was not fully locked.
Comment 3 András Manţia 2024-03-29 16:14:04 UTC
I experience this on X11 though.
