SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Update to Plasma 6 2. Open Spectacle 3. Have multiple displays attached 4. In an X11 session open Spectacle and take a new screenshot from the "Current Screen" option. OBSERVED RESULT All screens are showing in the screenshot, not just the active one. EXPECTED RESULT Only the current screen to be in the screenshot, like it was on Plasma 5 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux, KDE Plasma 6.0.2 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Running X11 because I have an Nvidia GPU and the Nvidia 550 drivers ( required for proper Wayland support ) are buggy for my setup. So I am on nvidia 535.161.07. I don't think this is related to the bug, but maybe it is somehow.
Adding some more context after a bit of messing about. It seems this is only an issue on my second display. It works correctly on my primary display but on the second display when I hit current screen it captures both 1 & 2.
Not sure if I should make a new issue but I've also had a problem with the rectangular selection option. When I pick it, it takes a snap of both screens and shows it on my primary ( right ) monitor. This means I can only see my secondary ( left ) screen in the shown area, because spectacle launches on my primary display but it's showing both displays as one image. Would really like to know if there's anything I can try on my end to resolve this. Thanks for any help.
As of KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3 the rectangular selection is working normally again. Capturing just my secondary screen is still not working however.
