SUMMARY I have a mailbox with ~90k messages that, while rather slow, still worked under Plasma 5. Since upgrading to Plasma 6, when I try to reply to a message for that account (in *any* mailbox, not just the large one), kmail uses 100% CPU and seems to consume all memory on the system--when I last observed this, I let it go to 25 GB RES before closing it. I did not have this problem with Plasma 5. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have or create a large mailbox, maybe 50k messages will suffice 2. Try to reply to a message in the account, in any mailbox, using either menu button or keybinding 3. Observe the application become unresponsive, using 100% CPU and eventually 100% memory OBSERVED RESULT Kmail uses all CPU and memory EXPECTED RESULT The compose window opens for the message reply SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux updated as of this morning (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2
