STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. have a android phone with mobile internet
2. connect the android phone to a usb port
3. activate internet router and usb tethering features in the android phone
4. click on the network icon in the system tray
5. click on the connection via usb tethering
6. click on "Details" tab

OBSERVED RESULT
as we can see in the attached screenshot, "Connection speed" is "0 Bit/s"

EXPECTED RESULT
Correct connection speed

Can you still reproduce this in today's git master, Patrick? Some related changes to the network monitoring code may have fixed it.

For some reason usb tethering does not work on neon unstable.
The bug persists on Plasma 6.4 beta at least.
