After the update to Plasma 6, there is no longer the update notifier icon that was present in the system tray. It was the former plasma5-pk-updates applet. Is it planned to add an equivalent for that? Created attachment 167566 [details] Is this it? Hi - I've just checked for update in Discover on my Neon system and it has shown the notification icon as per this screenshot. Can you confirm if this is what is missing on your system? Thanks, Nick
No, it isn't. It's the same icon, sure, but now it opens Discover directly. In Plasma5 it used to open packagekit (Yast for openSUSE)
OK - it sounds to me like your issue is openSUSE specific as on Neon it will always open Discover. If you agree can you please close this bug and raise one with openSUSE? Thanks, Nick
Check that discover6-notifier is installed.

Thx for your help.
It seems to be standard now on Plasma6.
