Created attachment 167133 [details] A video of the problem SUMMARY One can't change files icon if "Browse" is selected. There's no problem if I choose "All', "Mimetypes", "Actions", etc. but when I choose Browse to select a custom Icon, the dialog closes itself immediately and I can't choose anything. https://i.imgur.com/SMBthPl.png STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open file properties and try to change the icon with a cusrom icon, other than the system suggested. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT The dialog closes itself immediately and I can't choose an icon. EXPECTED RESULT There shoud be a possibility to choose an icon and the dialog shouldn't closes itself. Hello, I have the same problem on Plasma 6.0.2.
Plasma 6.0.2 lended on Arch and I still experience this problem.
Same here
Just realized that the bug occurs only on X11.
Works for me on Wayland. Is anything *crashing*? Can affected folks look for crash logs using `coredumpctl --reverse`? If not, please run `journalctl -f` and see if anything is printed when the dialog abruptly closes.
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #6) > Is anything *crashing*? Can affected folks look for crash logs using No, the window just closes itself as if the close button is pressed.
Then please get the journal logs I asked for.
I will but in a day or two for I'm already reverted to Plasma 5 and I have to backup and restore again. Plasma 6 isn't there yet - too many bugs.
In the meantime you can try it yorself - the bug is 100% reproducible on every single macihine. Then you can see the logs and whatever you want.
'coredumpctl --reverse' doesn't show anything. Here's the log from 'journalctl -f' when I try the browse button of the icon picker: https://pastebin.com/kKj6iAni
