SUMMARY *** Recently I noticed that my persistent problems with power commands (logout, reboot, shutdown) are linked with the expander text app "espanso". If I stop espanso power commands work, if not, no more. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install espanso in Wayland and set it as service, reboot. 2. You will no more able to use power commands 3. Stopping espanso, you will do successfully power commands OBSERVED RESULT Power commands no more working if espanso is running EXPECTED RESULT Power commands should work even with espanso running SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 6.0 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 Kernel Version: 6.5.0-25-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 4 ร AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics Memory: 5,5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It's an espanso problem or yours one? Should I (or you yourself) tell something to espanso developers?
The last updates didn't solve this bug...
i've installed espanso it indeed blocks logout and shutdown. it seems kwin_killer_helper is not able to kill espanso and blocks the action. ```kwin_wayland_wrapper[5281]: Usage: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kwin_killer_helper [options] Mar 21 18:29:10 carlos-lenovo kwin_wayland_wrapper[5281]: KWin helper utility ```
Thank you for your bug report! However this bug report was created/provided previous to 01/06/2024 and also has not received any updates since before 01/01/2025. Unfortunately KDE neon no longer provides updates for anything older than noble 24.04 based edition's. Please upgrade to KDE neon noble and if you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report. Thanks for understanding!
