I'm in the process of copying almost 2TB over a 1Gbit ethernet LAN. During this process, the indicated download speed shown in the network manager applet has gone up in 2GiB increments every minute or so for quite some time. As of this writing, it shows "54.0 GiB/s". If only!

New install of EndeavourOS.

A few times it was around 100 seconds between increases, but a few cycles have been 2m20~2m50.

Upload speed looks accurate.

Possibly related to #479230.
