font spacing

After updating to Plasma 6 on wayland the font spacing is much to dense.

It used to be fine on Plasma 5.

I have attached a screenshot. You will see that at some places it becomes unreadable due to being to close to each other. The font is Monaspace Krypton Medium 10pt.

Anyone dare look into this?

I seems to me that the bold font is too wide, so what you use is non monospace font. It should display (somewhat) better if you disable word mode (in edit profile -> Appearance -> Complex text layout).

@Matan, thank you that makes it somewhat better indeed! :)

ShureTechMono bold characters overlapping non-bold characters after a tab-space

I'm using Nobara 39 and this has been happening before the Plasma 6 update. I use the ShureTechMono Nerd Font and the bold characters overlap with the regular characters when there's a tab-space between them.

When I posted about this in the Nerd Fonts repo, they pointed out that there's bug reports #447234 and #432898 that are similar to my issue. Since the installed font has no bold version, I though that this might be a font issue and tried reproducing this behaviour in other terminals like Blackbox, Windows Terminal, GNOME terminal and Alacritty, but it's only happening in Konsole, even in the Flatpak version of Konsole.
