SUMMARY *** Gwenveview cannot display WebP images. Support of WebP images [regression, removed from KDE 6] is missing. All is installed (libwebp, qt6/kde6 kimageformats, webp pixbuf loader, etc) *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin (no webp thumbnails, either) 2. Click to open webp image in Gwenview OBSERVED RESULT Gwenview does not support WebP images (regardless of installed supporring libraries). This is a regression form KDE 5.x. All worked there. EXPECTED RESULT Fix regression and start supporting WebP again. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION All libwebp, kimageformats 6/qt6, webp pixbuf loader, plugins, etc. is installed. Worked in KDE 5.x. After upgrade doesn't work anymore. No more support for webp.
Is "qt6-imageformats" installed? After installing that, both Dolphin and Gwenview are showing webp images for me.
Marking as needsinfo, in case it wasn't working and the user already had qt6-imageformats installed.
