STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Splash Screen KCM
2. install a splash screen via "Get new..." feature
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
Just installed splash screen is listed twice in the KCM, the duplicate disappears after re-opening the KCM. Please watch the attached screen recording.

EXPECTED RESULT
the observed result should not occur
