It just occupies more space

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable floating window
2. Observe

OBSERVED RESULT
Panel doesn't float, it just resizes to occupy more space.

EXPECTED RESULT
Panel gains margin on the sides.

KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.1

Same behavior both on Wayland and X11.

Just checked what will happen on new user, still the same behavior.

Are you using a custom Plasma theme? If not, these issues feel like GPU driver bugs to me. Let's use this bug report to track just the issue with the floating panel misbehaving.
