SUMMARY Right-click on the desktop -> Configure Desktop and Wallpaper -> Mouse Actions -> Remove the Right Click to open Context Menu action With the context menu gone, it's no longer possible to open the Plasma Desktop Applet to re-add this rule. At least I have not found any option. The user has to modify `~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc` first. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed / Fedora 39 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Is it really too easy? That's four steps, and the thing is really quite buried. ...And yet, it still happens. :) So yeah, We should put up a big honkin' warning.
It's actually possible to get here through the Edit Mode toolbar even if the menu item has been removed from the context menu. So removing it is not *that* big of a deal. But we should probably still warn users about the consequences so it's in the back of their mind.

Now that we removed that entry from edit mode with https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/merge_requests/2695, there are fewer fallback ways to get it back - I happened to get into this situation while testing, and had to futz around with appletsrc.
