Description andy 2024-03-07 04:01:00 UTC
SUMMARY
Basically this issue which was marked resolved https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477138 where they were building from source. On an arch linux install with the 6.0.1 release I have the issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have arch linux system
2. Install packages: plasma-workspace, plasma-desktop, and individual dependencies of plasma-meta, excluding discover
3. journalctl -f
4. Super + hover mouse over menu items

OBSERVED RESULT
Tons of lines of plasmashell[3451]: kf.service.services: KApplicationTrader: mimeType "x-scheme-handler/appstream" not found

EXPECTED RESULT
The Application Launcher should handle not having discover installed gracefully.
