Description Quinten Kock 2024-03-06 21:15:01 UTC
SUMMARY
The Desktop Grid part of the new Overview does not allow managing workspaces (e.g. adding or deleting them).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open desktop grid (Meta+G or 4 finger swipe down)
2. Middle click a desktop

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens. There are also no buttons to add/remove desktops.

EXPECTED RESULT
Desktop should close. Additionally I would maybe expect a button that creates a new desktop, similar to the 'primary' overview screen

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

Right, no one ever implemented this.

This should made be configurable though. I tend to close windows with a middle click and I'm afraid that also closing VDs with the same button may lead to accidental removals.

Oh yeah, I just noticed I can close windows by middle clicking on them from the desktop grid. That may be a problem.
