Does the HDMI audio option appear in the Plasma widget? Is the system using PipeWire for audio routing, or PulseAudio?
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > Does the HDMI audio option appear in the Plasma widget? > > Is the system using PipeWire for audio routing, or PulseAudio? I''m running pipewire and the pipewire compatibility layer. I do not see the HDMI audio option in the plasma widget or pavucontrol.
Thanks, that was very helpful. Asking about pavucontrol was going to be my next question. :) If it's not in pavucontrol either then the issue isn't in KDE code; it would be either in PulseAudio or PipeWire, or in the way they're set up on your system. I'd recommend asking Debian folks for help figuring out where to go from here.
