Created attachment 166431 [details] File for which Dolphin fails to display preview SUMMARY In “Information” pane, the preview of JPG file copied from my camera device does not largely display: only the small icon preview is display (low quality). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Download the sample picture provided. 2. Open the folder which contain this picture in Dolphin 3. Enable Information pane, enable Preview from contextual menu. 4. Enlarge the Information pane. OBSERVED RESULT The preview does not enlarges: only the small low-quality icon preview is displayed in the Information pane. EXPECTED RESULT The image showed in Information pane uses most of the width: it should increases when you enlarge the pane to fit it, as it does work with other images. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 12.2 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If I edit the file with Gimp, even increasing its size, a preview will properly display for the edited file.
Strange workaround: change the extension into another image format (e.g. `.png` or `.gif`) instead of correct `.jpg`, the preview will work.
