SUMMARY While one works, all of a sudden the display wallpaper become incorrectly sized and too small, occupying only the top left corner of the screen, leaving a black area to the right and to the bottom. I am experiencing this on an arch derivative (Manjaro) that being a rolling distro should be completely up to date wrt Plasma components. The setup uses Wayland. The problem occurs using 2 screens (laptop screen + external monitor), using the external monitor as primary, when the external monitor has a very high resolution (4k). Both screens use scaling for HiDPI (the external monitor, being very large, employs a more moderate scaling), but I do not know how relevant this may be. I have been unable to understand what triggers the problem. When you connect the monitor, everything is fine. As you work all of a sudden the background flashes and becomes too small. Disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor or changing its resolution from the control panel to then revert it back fixes the issue. Don't know how important this issue is as of today, since I cannot test on plasma 6 yet. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Unfortunately the issue is erratic and a proper way to reproduce has not been identified. OBSERVED RESULT All of a sudden the wallpaper becomes smaller than the screen estate and top left aligned, leaving a black area to the right and to the bottom. EXPECTED RESULT The wall paper remains OK. We did a lot of multi-screen improvements in Plasma 6 that may have fixed this. Can I ask you to upgrade to Plasma 6 and try again? Thanks a lot!
