SUMMARY

Skanpage does not detect temporarily disconnected scanner without restart.

It happened as I wanted to scan another page to an already open document in Skanpage after having switched of the scanner already. So I reconnected the scanner to add another page to the document.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Scan a page.
2. Disconnect the scanner. I use an USB connected one.
3. Try to can another page.
4. Start a new copy of Skanpage and try to can a page

OBSERVED RESULT

Skanpage shows an error with device communication in step 3.

Skanpage scans the page correctly in step 4.

EXPECTED RESULT

Skanpage detects a temporarily disconnected scanner once it gets reconnected again without having to restart it.
