Description mashkal2000@gmail.com 2024-03-01 05:32:13 UTC
SUMMARY
The dock stated floating and the wallpaper got reset after the *2nd* reboot after updating to plasma 6

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install plasma 5.27
2. change wallpaper
3. update to plasma 6
4. reboot
5. log in (wallpaper changes to default plasma 6 wallpaper here)
6. suspend system
7. wake system (it fails here - existing nvidia issue)
8. hard shutdown by holding power button
9. boot system, log in.

OBSERVED RESULT
The dock now floats and the wallpaper is reset to the one from step 2, despite the updated wallpaper appearing in step 5

EXPECTED RESULT
Either the wallpaper changes after the first boot, or it doesn't change at all. Why does it change on the second?
