SUMMARY After the update to Plasma 6 today the shortcut to control the audio (Function Key + Right arrow) does no longer work. The exact same shortcut worked before the update. When I go to the settings and try to change the keybindings to the same combination that worked before an info box tells me that it's the interaction is already set to this shortcut. When I change it to something else it does not work either. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Increase/Decrease volume with the buttons on the keyboard OBSERVED RESULT Audio level does not change EXPECTED RESULT Audio level decreases or increases SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 6.0 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 Kernel Version: 6.5.0-21-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 30.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Product Name: Bravo 17 A4DDR System Version: REV:1.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have also tested a USB keyboard that has dedicated buttons to increase and decrease the volume (Cherry KC 6000 slim) but those do not work either (even they did before)
The audio buttons magically started working again
Probably caused by a Neon packaging issue that's fixed now.
Created attachment 166813 [details] A lot of Increase Volume shortcuts
I am still facing this same problem on 6.0.1. In the shortcut settings, there are a lot of "Increase Volume" and "Decrease Volume" and I am not sure if this is related to this bug.
Please file a separate bug report.
