STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Panel Configuration 2. Enable floating panel 3. Disable floating panel OBSERVED RESULT Empty space at the bottom of the screen EXPECTED RESULT No empty space SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.80 KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: 6.6.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If I open KRunner, the empty space will disappear.
Can't reproduce on wayland. Is this on X11? Could you upload a screenshot?
Created attachment 166079 [details] wayland.webm Wayland.
I can reproduce. I had to click back and forth the Float setting a few times before it happened though. Operating System: KDE neon Testing Edition KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0 Qt Version: 6.6.2 Kernel Version: 6.5.0-21-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Pro WX 3200 Series
Can also reproduce on Arch + Git Master BUT ONLY when the floating option is disabled when you enter the panel configuration. If floating is enabled when I enter the panel configuration I can not reproduce.
Can also reproduce the issue after toggling the floating setting on and off a few times. But only for a horizontal panel; I can't reproduce it ar all on a vertical panel.
