Description w0ie2m7jx 2024-02-24 18:07:55 UTC
SUMMARY
The brightness keeps changing without me changing it (possibly in the direction I last changed it, I'm not sure). It does so multiple times irregularly (e.g. every 20s) in a short period of time (e.g. 3 mins).

EXAMPLE
Recently I had to keep pressing brightness up as I battled with my computer as it turned the brightness down every few seconds, after I came out victorious it decided to start increasing my brightness too high instead. This isn't a constant problem, It seems random when it happens, so I really have no idea what's going on.

CONTEXT
I thought maybe it was automatic brightness changing based on room brightness, but the system doesn't even recognise my camera, so I don't think it's that (if that even is a feature).

HARDWARE
I'm using an MSI laptop: Modern 15 B7M

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8

Thank you for your bug report!

Debian advises users to not submit bugs upstream (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting), as this version of the KDE software is out of support from KDE, and so it's possible that the bug exists only in Debian at this point.
Could you report the bug to Debian using the report bug utility (https://packages.debian.org/stable/utils/reportbug)? If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream.

Thanks for understanding!
