Error

I'm finding it very difficult to add videos as every time I try I get the message "Unable to create KIO worker. Can not create a socket for launching a KIO worker for protocol 'file'."


Media browser shows nothing except error message and if I go to Project, Add Clip or Folder I get the same error. 
As I can't add clips it makes the entire program practically useless.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled and it makes no difference at all

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open kdenlive
2. Add clip or folder
3. Get message "Unable to create KIO worker. Can not create a socket for launching a KIO worker for protocol 'file'."
