Since Krita.org switching to Hugo platform, the News section on Krita's Welcome page has broken. It doesn't fetch non-English language news properly. Every alternative language is showing English content. Maybe it has something to do with the new languages tags (which is correct on the new website).
I think we will need some more discussion on this. This was specifically requested for me to change how krita.org shows news post. The English news posts should show in the case that there is no translated language. The idea was that Krita is still doing active things...even if there is no translated news post. The original discussion was around krita.org, but we didn't think about how this would affect how the news would appear on the Krita application. Once we decide what to do, we can make whatever changes.
No, it's not like I'm against always showing English, but currently for example if you set to show English, Chinese and Japanese, you get English, English, English.

Yes. I think they way it works now is because of how the new website logic is showing posts - and that is carrying through to the application. 1. English - Always just shows English of course 2. Chinese - Tries to get chinese news, but will show English post if it is not translated Now if you are in the Krita application and select both English and Chinese, There will be a lot of duplicate English posts as the Chinese language also shows English...in addition to the English posts. Chinese does not just show Chinese news with the new system. That was a recent change that was requested. We might not need to have multiple languages selected in the Krita application now as it shows all the posts.
