1. layer
2. import layer
3. or tools
4. Add reference image

OBSERVED RESULT
Krista freezes when importing image

EXPECTED RESULT
import image without crashing

Hi, Nadine!

Could you share the file that you try to import into the image? Or does it happen with any type of file? I cannot reproduce the issue here locally. I can import files with both options you listed.

Could you also attach a crashlog to this report? The crashlog should be avaialble in %LOCALAPPDATA%\kritacrash.log location on your harddrive.

My apologies for the delayed reply

I discovered the issue was my laptop and not krita, as the same problem
occurred regardless of the application
