SUMMARY
Please watch the attached screen recording. I open the save/open dialog, all files are visible for a few milliseconds and then the filter is applied.

EXPECTED RESULT
the filter should be applied immediately on opening, without any delay

Cannot reproduce after updating to frameworks 6.18; possibly related to bug 508026
