Reassigning to plasma-browser-integration as to my knowledge it doesn't surface anything that would allow this to be done for users. It's also questionable whether sites should be allowed to gather that sort of information - in which case it would be something the plugin would have to offer/drive.
This would lead to many privacy concerns. For bug reporting, you can copy that information by going to system settings->about this system

Here is why I say that: - The code would only be requesting system information which is required to submit a bug report anyway. - KDE is a trusted organization and the collected information is solely for bug reporting purposes. Debian auto collects the same info when submitting a bug report, its likely other distros do the same. - The extension already has access to the users browser history, which most people would consider more private than software versions - If necessary, it could be an optional action, activated in a similar way to the double diamond icon in the browsers address bar used to integrate gmail or the icon to install youtube when viewing a youtube video and/or could be opted out through a checkbox in the extensions option page I think that there are a couple benefits to this enhancement in addition to ease of use for the reporter/user: - Eliminating user input error ensures bug reports are precise, helping developers address issues efficiently. You could even have it alert the user when they are trying to file a bug report for software version that is no longer maintained, leading to even more efficiency. - Streamlining the reporting process encourages more users to submit reports promptly, contributing to a better Plasma experience.
