spectacle capture of issue

SUMMARY

Display configuration can indicate that one monitor is selected (via highlight), but when settings (e.g. rotation) are changed they apply to a different monitor.

I have been unable to come up with a reproducer for this issue (I suspect I got it very confused somehow), but it should be simple enough to ensure that the selected screen is actually highlighted.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select screen which has forgotten its orientation
2. Click the appropriate orientation

OBSERVED RESULT

A screen which is not highlighted rotates in preview.

EXPECTED RESULT

The highlighted screen rotates in preview.

I have experienced this kind of behavior in Display Configuration in similar circumstances.
With multiple external monitors and a laptop, after the displays went to sleep, sometimes the external monitors weren't lit up
Display Configuration showed them as active. Trying to disable and re-enable them, I'd notice behavior like you describe and is shown in the screen recording

I have not noticed this happening on 6.2.5 or git-master much. I saw related issues yesterday in 6.2.5 switching to X11 and back to Wayland, but I can't reproduce in git-master.

Can you let us know if you have experienced this bug recently?
