Some people (like me) don't like when chats stay opened. Nheko and Telegram have this feature. This is not important, but it would be great if NeoChat also will have this feature.

So to be clear the request here is if you're in a chat you want to be able to hit escape or click on the room and it leaves you with what an empty space where the chat was?

Yes, exactly. Don't leave the chat, just minimize it.
