Screenshot showing blue line

SUMMARY
I have a floating panel and set it to dodge windows, which works fine. However, when the panel is hidden, a thin blue line is visible at the bottom of the screen where the panel is located (see screenshot)
If this behavior is wanted, is there an option to turn this off?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set panel to floating
2. Set panel to dodge windows
3. Open fullscreen content

OBSERVED RESULT
There's a blue line at the screen edge where the panel is

EXPECTED RESULT
There is no indicator at to where the panel is

There is an effect that only activates when your cursor is near the edge. It is called screen edge in window management - desktop effects.

However based on the screenshot the issue you are encountering might be different. Could you verify if you still see this after turning off this effect?

Thanks!

blue line

Can reproduce on my 3840x2160 screen when scale is set to 170%, wayland. I think this is related to the 1 pixel problems under fractional scaling.

I can also confirm that the issue still exist after turning off aforementioned feature.
Good that I'm not the only one, my screen is scaled by 150%

Is this really a duplicate?
The other bug has a different description 😅

Mh, yeah, reopening as this seems to be its own issue
Comment 7 Nate Graham 2024-02-21 20:14:51 UTC
Indeed, this is a fractional scaling issue. Most likely Bug 480171, but if not that, then Bug 459373.

Arbitrarily duping it to Bug 480171 since we can't multi-dupe.
