SUMMARY *** Transform to change size and position look fine in the output monitor window, but results in a blank screen (with audio) when the file is rendered. If I delete the transform the render works properly. Sometimes if I recreate the project and apply transform it will then work. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Apply transform to clip. 2. render 3. OBSERVED RESULT no video output in rendered file. audio is okay. EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have tried different render file formats, but the results are the same.
Thanks for the report. I cannot reproduce in a simple project. This might be an issue with your source clip's video format. Can you test the same effect on a color clip, does it work ? If it does, can you please try to transcode the clip using the Project Bin's context menu on the clip > "Transcode to edit friendly format". This will create a new video clip, then try reproducing the bug with this new clip. If this is the case, can you tell me which kind of source clip it is : from a phone, screen capture, etc, and it would be interesting if you can share the original source clip with me.
Hello, Unfortunately, I can't figure out what steps cause this error. If I create a new project and use the same source clip the transform works okay. FYI, my input is from a sony camcorder. I was recording at 60i. Everything has been in color. I have been outputing to 29.97 fps for upload to youtube. I tried using 'transcode to edit friendly format' on a problem project, but that project still renders with audio only if I use the transform effect. I will contact you if I'm able to figure out how to recreate the problem.
