crash traceback

SUMMARY
I tried and failed to reproduce an issue with the shortcuts module reported at [1] but in the process got a segfault.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings, and navigate to the the shortcuts module.
2. Keysmash (??) in the search box, while also intermittently pressing ctrl-backspace to get rid of typed text. The point is to rapidly change the search results in the hope of hitting a crash condition by chance.

OBSERVED RESULT
Segfault. See backtrace.

On a second attempt, I reproduced the original issue. See screenshot for that.

EXPECTED RESULT
No crash, no visual corruption.
