Description kde 2024-02-07 10:39:42 UTC
SUMMARY
Option to make the folder size dependent on file count instead of file size.
It currently sizes each folder according to the total file size. My suggestion is adding an option to size the folders based on the total file count.

What's the use case?

My programming project folder contains about 314k files, but has only 16 GiB of data. It contains a lot of small files (node_modules, builds, etc.) and they have a big impact on syncing speed. The video folder syncs in several seconds, but the programming folder takes several hours. I want to find which folders are the cause and tar some specific projects to improve syncing performance. Being able to quickly find directories with a large amount of files would be very useful.

I am not sure this is going to happen. The use case is awfully niche. I'll let this simmer for a bit, maybe a trivial solution presents itself.
