Do you in fact have network connectivity?

Are you not using NetworkManager to manage that network connectivity?

Do you have Discover's PackageKit package installed?

Yes, I am using ethernet cat 5.0 wired to the modem on this machine in particular. Ping works fine, also see 2: enp0s25 below:
Thinkcentre-M57p:~> ip a
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00

Thinkcentre-M57p:~>

Yes, I am using NetworkManager to manage the network connectivity.

I believe that yes I do have Discovers PackageKit installed. See following:
Thinkcentre-M57p:~> zypper search -i | grep 'packagekit'
i+ | discover-backend-packagekit | PackageKit Backend for Discover | package
i | libpackagekit-glib2-18 | GLib integration of PackageKit | package
i | libpackagekitqt5-1 | Simple software installation management software | package
Thinkcentre-M57p:~>

When I open Software Discover Center and tick update, updatable packages are in fact able to be listed available for installation. So from what I can see, yes there is absolutely connectivity.

-Thanks
