SUMMARY I have this cursor theme https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1341926 (it's not that noticeable with the breeze cursor, just the outline turns light blue) and when I turn night light on it becomes light blue. This was not the case in 5.27.10. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use the wayland session (I haven't checked x11) 2. Turn on night light OBSERVED RESULT the cursor changes color significantly EXPECTED RESULT the color of the cursor remains almost the same SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.93.0 (kwin commit 795b6197) KDE Frameworks Version: 5.249.0 Qt Version: 6.6.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NVIDIA proprietary driver 550.40.07
When "Shake Cursor" effect is enabled, the cursor color turns normal when it becomes larger.
IIRC this is a graphics driver issue, but I'll let Xaver confirm (or deny) that.
Please test this on top of a completely black background. Most likely this is a duplicate of bug 479889, and the cursor does not actually turn light blue, but only looks that way because everything else is tinted red.

I have difficulty telling colors apart and it looks blue on top of a black background. It works fine with KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR=1.
