SUMMARY When I log into a freshly installed Neon on a VM, the user's Home directory doesn't contain the usual places (Pictures, Videos, Downloads etc.). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install KDE Neon (preferably in a language other than English). 2. Log into the user session. 3. Open Dolphin. OBSERVED RESULT The home directory is almost empty, and so is the Places panel in Dolphin's sidebar. EXPECTED RESULT Both the home directory and the Places panel contain the full set of default folders for the current locale, same as configured in System Settings. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I usually use openSUSE, where I've never had this problem; but sometimes I rely on Neon to make screenshots of pre-release Plasma versions. I also see such screenshots with missing folders on our social media, e.g. https://twitter.com/kdecommunity/status/1729959817576386680. It would be nice if screenshots of Dolphin taken on Neon were representative of how Dolphin is expected to look.
I seem to run into this regularly, even in English...
Can confirm, but I was never sure if this was a bug, of if Neon was intentionally not creating the standard directories.
