Description Henning 2024-01-31 20:05:15 UTC
The auto-defloating panel is nice, and now fixes the vertical padding.

But the horizontal padding does not reset, which doesnt affect the hitboxes luckily, but is a minor visual problem.

I attach a screenshot.

OS: Fedora Linux 40.20240130.0 (Kinoite Prerelease)
KDE Plasma: 5.92.0

This is actually intentional! It's to make sure that hitboxes on the panel don't move left/right when the panel float/de-floats. Otherwise you could get in a situation where you click on a task manager icon to open a window that touches the panel, the panel de-floats, the button moves away from under your mouse cursor, and you can't click again to close the window.
